I entered the fitness industry later in life at age 50- my life was forever changed.

It really is never too late to start.

Hello there. My name is Lisa and I am a CFES certified personal trainer, active aging coach and nutrition coach. 

 

I am a wife, mom of 2 adult kids, and a grandma. I have a dog and cat as well. Born and raised in British Columbia, I currently reside in the Shuswap region of BC.

 

As an outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy hiking, walking, running, yoga, strength workouts, kayaking, biking and SUP. Generally, I love all activities, and I am willing to try new ones.

 

I entered the fitness industry later in life at age 50- my life was forever changed.

 

I enjoyed how great I felt and the amazing support I received. It made a world of difference in my overall well being. This made me realize I wanted to give back to people in a better way. I wanted to help people become the very best versions of themselves. I wanted to help people gain confidence, physical and mental well being.

 

But it didn’t happen overnight.

 

In my younger years, I was very unfit, full of low self esteem and very unmotivated. I also was a smoker till 39. Eventually, I  turned my health and wellness around by quitting the habit of smoking first. Then, I gained weight and lost confidence in how I looked.

 

A few years later, around the age of 46, my Bff urged me to start running. She had started to run in the winter with a local run club. Inspired, I started in the late Spring of 2012. I ran with a “couch to 5k program” and just kept going… Eventually, I ran a half marathon.

 

As I was edging ever close to 50 I was looking for something else to help me handle mental stress from my job and get my body even more fit. I joined a local gym and hired myself a personal trainer.

I started to feel better, make better food choices and gain confidence.

 

So, 7 years ago I opened my GYM at home and started with just 1 client. Now, I mostly coach virtually with clients that are 45+. I want to enrich my clients’ lives by sharing my story. It really is never too late to start.

 

I continue daily to educate myself and work hard to be a great trainer. But more so a person who understands and will listen to your desires. Health and wellness are a mind and body connection.
